Empowering Tomorrow's Hospitality Leaders

At the Institut Français d’Hôtellerie (IFH), we are committed to shaping the next generation of hospitality leaders—forward-thinking, globally-minded, and driven by excellence.

Become a Leader in Hospitality Management

The Master in Business & Hospitality (MBH) is built upon three pedagogical pillars designed to develop agile, innovative and responsible managers:

  • Action-Oriented Business Training
Entrepreneurship projects (eg food trucks, pop-up restaurants), consulting missions for corporate partners, business games and real-life case studies.
  • Hands-On Hospitality Expertise
Intensive training sessions at our Château campus, culinary workshops, professional service experience with our hotel partners, and a strong emphasis on alternating work-study programs.
  • Mastering Luxury Soft Skills
Professional posture and communication, etiquette and codes of refinement, cultural knowledge and emotional intelligence tailored for the high-end hospitality world.

Experience-Driven Education

The MBH program addresses the key challenges shaping the future of luxury and hospitality:

  • Innovation : Artificial intelligence, new economic models, digital ecosystems, and social media
  • Sustainability : Responsible sourcing, circular economy, wellness and healthy lifestyles
  • Global Outlook : Cross-cultural management, international finance, languages and geopolitics

FAQ

How to apply to the Institut Français de l'Hôtellerie?

All you need to do is submit your CV and report cards from Première, Terminale and Bac de Français via the Application Portal.

Is it a handicap to have no hotel/restaurant/luxury experience?

This is not a disadvantage. All applications are studied in depth by the admissions team on the basis of multiple factors (grades, assessments, extracurricular activities and motivations presented at the admissions interview).

Are there any specializations I should focus on in high school to get into the IFH?

The IFH Bachelor's programs are open to all high school students, regardless of the stream (general, technological, vocational), and regardless of the specializations/options chosen in Première/Terminale.

Does IFH offer work-study programs to its students?

Yes, the IFH has a vast network of partners in France and abroad, which it makes available to its students. The IFH also has exclusive work-study/internship offers, reserved for students of the school.

Does IFH offer support in finding a work-study program or internship?

Of course! The IFH pays particular attention to its students' career opportunities. They benefit from personalized support in three stages: orientation, coaching and contacts with partner companies.

How does admission to the Institut Français d'Hôtellerie work?

Selection takes place in two phases:
i. Eligibility phase: review of application file (report cards and CVs)
ii. Admission phase (for candidates declared eligible): written test (writing and logical skills) and oral test (motivation, quality of professional project, ease of speaking).

What is prioritized in the evaluation of the file to integrate the IFH?

The admissions team focuses on two areas of assessment: the quality of the applicant's career plan and his/her motivation.

When are eligibility (and, where applicable, admission) results published?

The IFH process is on a "rolling" basis: once the application has been submitted, it will be examined by the admissions team within 3 weeks. In the event of eligibility, slots for the admission tests are offered. After these, the applicant receives an admission decision within 2 to 3 weeks.

What are the career opportunities at IFH?

IFH courses provide access to all hospitality professions (hotel manager, restaurant chef, etc.), as well as to luxury goods professions (events, marketing or sales manager for major fashion/wine/spirits houses) and to business professions in the broadest sense (financial analyst, entrepreneur, etc.).

How much does it cost to attend IFH?

Prices vary according to the course. For more information, please download our brochure.

Does the IFH offer scholarships?

Yes, the IFH offers three types of scholarship (which can be combined):
i. Up to €5,000 "early birds" scholarship for the first applicants to the school
ii. Up to €5,000 merit-based scholarship, based on the results of the IFH selection test
