The IFH Summer Program welcomes undergraduate and graduate students from around the world who wish to deepen their understanding of French hospitality, gastronomy, and luxury management. Taking place in Paris, the global capital of gastronomy, the program combines academic courses, professional workshops, industry visits, and cultural exploration, offering a unique opportunity to experience the French art de vivre at its source.

Eligibility

The program is open to university students (undergraduate and postgraduate) with an interest in hospitality, gastronomy, business, or related fields.

Admissions

Admission requires the completion of an online application and the submission of academic transcripts and supporting documents.

Accommodation

Students are housed in modern residence facilities in the heart of Paris. Those who prefer may also arrange their own accommodation.

3,000€ for full-time students

4,000€ for young professionals

Degree Awarded

Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the Institut Français d'Hôtellerie, with 6 ECTS credits granted upon successful completion of the program.

Professional title "Tourism Establishment Manager," Level 6 (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree), registered with the RNCP under number RNCP35527 by decision of France Compétences on April 8, 2021, and issued by the Ministry of Labour.

How to apply to the Institut Français de l'Hôtellerie?

All you need to do is submit your CV and required documents via the Application Portal.

Do I need previous experience in hospitality or luxury to apply?

This is not a disadvantage. All applications are studied in depth by the admissions team on the basis of multiple factors (grades, assessments, extracurricular activities…)

Are there any high school specializations that are preferred for admission to IFH?

The IFH Bachelor’s programs are open to all high school students, regardless of their track (general, technological, or vocational) and regardless of the specializations or options chosen in Première or Terminale.

Does IFH offer work-study opportunities to its students?

Yes, IFH has a vast network of partners in France and abroad, which it makes available to its students. IFH also offers exclusive work-study and internship opportunities reserved for its students.

Does IFH offer support in finding an internship?

Of course! The IFH pays particular attention to its students' career opportunities. They benefit from personalized support in three stages: orientation, coaching and contacts with partner companies.

How does admission to the Institut Français d'Hôtellerie work?

Selection takes place in two phases:
i. Eligibility phase: review of application file (report cards and CVs)
ii. Admission phase (for candidates declared eligible): written test (writing and logical skills) and oral test (motivation, quality of professional project, ease of speaking). 

What is prioritized in the evaluation of the file to integrate the IFH?

The admissions team focuses on two areas of evaluation: the quality of the applicant’s career plan and the applicant’s motivation.

When are eligibility (and, where applicable, admission) results published?

The IFH process is on a "rolling" basis: once the application has been submitted, it will be examined by the admissions team within 3 weeks. In the event of eligibility, slots for the admission tests are offered. After these, the applicant receives an admission decision within 2 to 3 weeks.  

What are the career opportunities at IFH?

IFH courses provide access to all hospitality professions (hotel manager, restaurant chef, etc.), as well as to luxury goods professions (events, marketing or sales manager for major fashion/wine/spirits houses) and to business professions in the broadest sense (financial analyst, entrepreneur, etc.).

How much does it cost to attend IFH?

BBA
- International : €20,000 (per year)
- UE Student : €18,000 (per year)

MSc
- Regular track: € 12,950 (per year)
- Short track: € 16,750 (full program) 

Does the IFH offer scholarships?

Yes, the IFH offers two types of scholarship (which can be combined):
i. Early birds scholarship for the first applicants to the school
ii. Merit-based scholarship

What are the language requirements?

All programs are taught in English, so no prior French knowledge is required. However, IFH has developed partnerships with leading language schools to offer French courses, helping international students adapt both culturally and professionally.

Is accommodation available for international students?

Yes. IFH has developed partnerships with two student residences in Paris and assists you in finding housing options suited to your needs and budget.

How does IFH help international students integrate?

IFH offers a dedicated international student integration service, with support on daily life in France (banking, healthcare, transport), welcome days, and mentorship programs to connect you with peers and mentors.
