Company description

Since 1743, when it was founded, Moët & Chandon has passed on unrivalled winemaking expertise and an innovative, pioneering spirit from generation to generation. Claude Moët, its founder, was the first to embody these values, when he made his champagne one of the most sought-after in Europe. With his grandson, Jean Remy Moët, a pioneer and visionary, Moët & Chandon became a major international champagne brand. The 1,190 hectares of rich limestone soil, 50% of which is classified as Grand Cru and 25% as Premier Cru, make up the largest vineyard in Champagne. Underground, Moët & Chandon's cellars are the largest in the region. Stretching over 28 kilometers, they form a labyrinthine maze where the wine undergoes metamorphosis under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
